For the next 3 years – Shaktikanta Das ji The new governor of RBI

Shaktikanta Das ji, who has been the governor of RBI in the past, has been re-appointed as the governor of RBI for the next 3 years. Due to his unprecedented cooperation and good performance by the RBI, the Government of India and the Banking Finance Government offered him the RBI Governor’s offer for the next 3 years, which he accepted.

Who is Shaktikanta Das ji?

Shakti Kant Das is a 1980 batch IAS officer. He is from Tamil Nadu, and was appointed as the 25th Governor of India. Prior to this he was a member of 15 Finance Committees. Due to his good judgment and his ability to take right decisions on time, he was appointed Governor of the Reserve Bank of India. 

What is the age of Shaktikanta Das ji?

Shaktikanta Das ji is 64 years old, he was born in Bhubaneswar in 1957. For the first time, from 2014 to 2015, he has been the Secretary Government of India. Shashikant Das ji’s education has been done from Utkal University and he has simultaneously done his master’s degree from University of Delhi.

Where has Shashikant Das ji rendered his services? 

Shashikanta Das has given his services continuously for Tamil Nadu Government and Indian Government, before that he was appointed as Economic Affairs Secretary and then as Revenue Security and then as Fertilizer Secretary. And before that as the Alternative Governor of the World Bank, he has worked in the positions of Alternative Governor in ADB, NDB, AIIB. 

He has proved the iron of his wisdom and decision power. He also made India’s financial strength realized in most of the G-20, BRICS summits and has been instrumental in calling foreign direct investment. 

They have been included in the prominence of the Government of India only because of the power to face difficult challenges on time and to call them at the right time. In which Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was troubled by his personal situation. At that time also working as Alternating Governor. Even at that time, with his understanding, he brought the very big Shyam of that time to the front and solved it without any help and saved the government. 

Their main challenges are to save India’s losses from big banks. At present, there is a huge responsibility on the banks of India to correct and recover the non-performing assets for which they are working. 

In this episode, he has also cooperated a lot in the chain of withdrawing India’s money from Swiss banks and has worked belligerently. He had also proposed not to levy any kind of tax on people’s home loans during the time of pandemic. And by implementing it, gave relief to the people for some time. 

However, now that everything is coming back on track after the pandemic, the responsibility of turning India’s financial wheel has been entrusted to them again. 

His work so far as the Governor of India, 

Das ji was made the Governor of the Reserve Bank of India on December 11, 2018. His tenure was of 3 years and he replaced the old governor Urjit Patel. He was appointed as India’s advisor as soon as Patel relinquished the post of Reserve Bank of India. 

He took India’s finance department for investment with his dominance in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and many other countries. In today’s time India is known as a big investor and is successfully investing in many projects which will generate huge revenue for India in the coming time. However, this information was disclosed by some news channels and not by any document on paper. But later one of the same officials disclosed this and said on the record, that India has a way of raising revenue like China itself, by which they have started this initiative. 

The way China has been continuously taking the revenue there is by doing its investment in other countries. In the same way, now India is also investing in other small countries where there is a need for infection and the role of the Governor of Reserve Bank of India is believed to be involved in this. This is a positive and an unprecedented one for which the Governor is being commended. 

Perhaps this was the reason that the Governor of Reserve Bank of India has been appointed for the next 3 years. Now Shashikant Das’s tenure will be till November 2024. It will be very interesting to see that the way he had supported and stabilized India in a difficult time from 2018 to 2021, will he be able to bring momentum in India’s financial system in the times to come. 

Because the main concern of India at this time: India’s inflation, rising oil prices, taxes on goods and many inconveniences, keeping in mind the huge shortage of employment is to be overcome.

3 साल के लिए आरबीआई के गवर्नर– शक्तिकांता दास जी

शक्तिकांता दास जी जो कि पहले भी आरबीआई के गवर्नर रहे हैं उन्हें दोबारा से अगले 3 साल के लिए आरबीआई का गवर्नर नियुक्त कर दिया गया है. आरबीआई ने उनके अभूतपूर्व सहयोग एवं अच्छी परफॉर्मेंस के कारण भारत सरकार और बैंकिंग फाइनेंस  गवर्नमेंट ने उन्हें अगले 3 साल के लिए आरबीआई गवर्नर का प्रस्ताव दिया जिसे उन्हें स्वीकार कर लिया.

दास जी कौन है?

शक्ति कांत दास जी 1980 बैच के आईएएस ऑफिसर है. यह तमिलनाडु से हैं, और यह भारत के 25वे गवर्नर के रूप में नियुक्त हुए थे. इसके पहले वह 15 फाइनेंस कमेटी के मेंबर रहे थे.  उनके अच्छे कालनिर्णय के कारण  एवं उनकी  समय पर सही निर्णय लेने की क्षमता के कारण उन्हें रिजर्व बैंक ऑफ इंडिया का गवर्नर अप्वॉइंट किया गया. 

शक्तिकांता दास जी की उम्र कितनी है?

शक्तिकांता दास जी की उम्र 64 वर्ष की है वह भुनेश्वर में 1957 में पैदा हुए थे. इसकी पहली बार सन 2014 से 2015 तक सेक्रेटरी गवर्नमेंट ऑफ इंडिया रहे हैं. शशिकांत दास जी की शिक्षा दीक्षा, उत्कल यूनिवर्सिटी से हुई है तथा उन्होंने साथ ही साथ अपने मास्टर डिग्री यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ दिल्ली से की है.

शशिकांत दास जी ने अपनी सेवाएं कहां दी है? 

शशिकांत दास जी ने अपनी सेवाएं तमिल नाडु गवर्नमेंट तथा इंडियन गवर्नमेंट के लिए लगातार दी है इसके पहले वह इकोनामिक अफेयर्स सेक्रेट्री के रूप में तथा उसके बाद राजस्व सिक्योरिटी के रूप में फिर उसके बाद फ़र्टिलाइज़र सेक्रेटरी के रूप में अपॉइंटेड थे. तथा इसके पहले वर्ल्ड बैंक की अल्टरनेटिव गवर्नर के रूप में, एडीबी, एनडीबी, एआईआईबी में अल्टरनेटिव गवर्नर के पदों पर काम किया है. 

इन्होंने अपनी सूझबूझ और निर्णय की ताकत का लोहा मनवाया है. उन्होंने अधिकतर जी-20, ब्रिक्स समिट में भी भारत की वित्तीय ताकत का एहसास कराया तथा फॉरेन डायरेक्ट इन्वेस्टमेंट को बुलाने में उनका अहम योगदान रहा है. 

समय पर कठिन चुनौतियों का सामना करना एवं उसको सही समय पर कॉल करने की ताकत की वजह से ही इन्हें भारत सरकार की प्रमुखता में शामिल किया गया है. जिसमें प्रधानमंत्री मनमोहन सिंह अपनी व्यक्ति स्थिति से परेशान थे. उस वक्त भी अल्टरनेटिंग गवर्नर के रूप में काम कर रहे थे. उस समय भी इन्होंने अपनी सूझबूझ से उस समय के बहुत बड़े श्याम को सामने लेकर आए और उसको बिना किसी के सहयोग के सुलझाया और सरकार को बचाया. 

इनकी प्रमुख चुनौतियां बड़े बैंकों से हो रहे भारत के नुकसान को बचाना. इस वक्त भारत के बैंकों के ऊपर नॉन परफॉर्मिंग असेट्स को सही करने का और एवं उसको वसूलने का एक बहुत बड़ा दायित्व है जिसके लिए वह कार्यरत है. 

इसी कड़ी में स्विस बैंकों से भारत का पैसा वापस लेने की कड़ी में भी उन्होंने काफी सहयोग किया और जुझारू रूप से कार्य किया है. महामारी के समय में लोगों के होम लोन का किसी भी प्रकार का कर नहीं लगाए जाने का प्रस्ताव भी उन्होंने ही किया था. एवं उसका क्रियान्वयन करके लोगों को कुछ समय के लिए राहत दे दी. 

हालांकि अब जब महामारी के बाद सारी चीजें वापस ढर्रे पर आ रही है तो फिर से भारत के वित्तीय चक्के को घुमाने की जिम्मेदारी इनके ऊपर सौंप दी गई है. 

भारत के गवर्नर के रूप में इनका अब तक का कार्य 

दास जी को ऑफ रिजर्व बैंक ऑफ इंडिया का गवर्नर 2018 11 दिसंबर को बनाया गया. इनका कार्यकाल 3 वर्ष का था और उन्होंने पुरानी गवर्नर उर्जित पटेल को रिप्लेस किया. जैसे ही उचित पटेल ने रिजर्व बैंक ऑफ इंडिया के पोस्ट से रिजाइन क्या भारत के सलाहकार के रूप में इनको नियुक्त किया गया. 

भारत के फाइनेंस डिपार्टमेंट को सिंगापुर, मलेशिया, इंडोनेशिया और कई देशों में अपने प्रभुत्व के साथ उन्होंने इन्वेस्टमेंट के लिए ले गए. आज के समय में भारत में एक बड़ा इन्वेस्टर के रूप में जाना जाता है और कई परियोजनाओं में सफलतापूर्वक निवेश कर रहा है जिससे आने वाले समय में भारत को भारी राजस्व की प्राप्ति होगी. हालांकि इस जानकारी का खुलासा कुछ न्यूज़ चैनल ने किया ना कि ऑन पेपर किसी भी दस्तावेज ने. लेकिन बाद में इन्हीं की एक अधिकारी ने इस बारे में खुलासा करते हुए ऑन द रिकॉर्ड बताया, किया भारत का चाइना की तरह राजस्व खुद उठाने का एक तरीका है जिससे उन्होंने इस पहल को शुरू की है. 

जिस प्रकार से चाइना अन्य देशों में अपनी इन्वेस्टमेंट कर के वहां के राजस्व को लगातार अपने यहां लेते आ रहा है. ठीक उसी प्रकार अब भारत भी अन्य छोटे देशों में जहां पर की इन्फेक्शन की जरूरत है इन्वेस्टमेंट कर रहा है और इसमें रिजर्व बैंक ऑफ इंडिया के गवर्नर की भूमिका शामिल मानी जा रही है. यह एक सकारात्मक और एक अभूतपूर्व है जिसके लिए गवर्नर की सराहना की जा रही है. 

शायद यही कारण रहा कि अगले 3 सालों के लिए रिजर्व बैंक ऑफ इंडिया का गवर्नर नियुक्त किया गया है. अब शशिकांत दास का कार्यकाल नवंबर 2024 तक होगा. यह देखना बहुत ही रोचक होगा कि जिस प्रकार से उन्होंने 2018 से 2021 तक भारत को एक कठिन व्यक्ति समय में सहारा और स्टेबलाइजर किया था आगे आने वाले समय में भी क्या वह भारत की वित्तीय व्यवस्था में गति ले आ सकेंगे. 

क्योंकि इस वक्त भारत की प्रमुख चिंता का विषय: भारत की महंगाई, आयल के बढ़ रहे दाम, वस्तुओं पर लग रहे कर और अनेक असुविधाएं को ध्यान में रखते हुए रोजगार की भारी कमी को दूर करना है.
